Made with care, since 2015.
Osteria Borgo opened in 2015 on a quiet stretch of Oak in Chicago.
Lucas Abbott spent 11 years working in kitchens across the country before deciding to open the kind of place they'd want to visit every week: relaxed, generous and serious about the details.
Today we're a small team of cooks, bakers and hosts who love what we do. Many of our regulars have been with us since day one — some of them have even become part of the team.
Sourcing
Local, seasonal, honest
We work with a small group of local farms, millers and producers, and the menu changes with what they bring us. If something isn't at its best, it isn't on the menu.
Our coffee, flour, produce and dairy all come from within a few hours of Chicago, and we compost or donate everything we can.
